Two articles from Dinis Cruz's voice memo of 25 October, in reply to Bert Kok's essay for The News Stack, "Publishers may fund the most expensive layer and capture the least valuable".
- Own the stack, and the trust. His argument, quoted, with screenshots of his post and the reply; where we agree and what we built (his knowledge architecture and interface as a sensor); agents that augment journalists, and why what is missing is more journalists and more readers; owning the stack, now open source; owning the trust; and a guided tour with a collage of twelve pages.
- Local trust, certified upwards. The economic model: local and niche publishers take in commodity and certify the big outlets' stories about their area for pay; open interfaces, as UK open banking under the CMA; who reports and who recycles; stories that go off like milk; and the same argument as for software maintainers. Two figures.
