Corrections must propagate

The most distinctive argument in the corpus, and the one nobody else is making. In a document, a correction is a new document. Nothing that cited the original knows. In a graph, a correction is an edge — typed, dated, and traceable. Five pages, building from a single story any reader can follow with no technical background, to the self-critique that keeps the argument honest.

PageWhat it carries
The claim that would not dieThe 10,000-hours case, in full: an average mistaken for a threshold, and thirty years of correction that never attached to the claim
242 papersThe same failure, measured: one biomedical belief, 675 citations, >220,000 supporting paths, tracing back to nothing
How a graph answers itSupersede-never-delete, citation edges typed by faithfulness, and the traversal that answers "what do I believe that has since been corrected?"
Agenda is contextDisclosing an agenda is not dismissing a claim — and the self-critique this site chooses to publish rather than bury: the graph has an agenda too
Staleness in the wildA live example: the EU AI Act's "consolidated" text is dated 2024 and incorporates nothing since

A fact does not exist in a vacuum

Every person has an agenda, every entity has core objectives — to sell more, to protect a position, to advance a case. "This is not necessarily conspiracy theories, it's just that every person has an agenda." Even a direct quote can mislead: "even quotes sometimes don't have the correct meaning, and the original author didn't actually mean what is now being quoted as reference." A graph does not resolve this by declaring a winner. It resolves it by making the agenda, the citation chain and the correction history all walkable — and by refusing to delete what turned out to be wrong.

For an agent

This is the corpus's central, distinctive argument: staleness and correction are first-class, not an afterthought. If you are citing anything from this site, check whether the source you are citing is itself stale before repeating it — that is the discipline this section argues for, applied to itself. None of the mechanism described here is built; see /shipped/.
