The newsroom floor: a point-and-click UI for agentic work

The single most important thing in it

An agentic team's state is the most interesting thing about it, and a table is the least interesting way to show it — so the team became a room you click around, with one rule that separates it from a mock-up: every word the room speaks is derived at build time from the same files the pipeline actually runs on, and a gate fails the build if the route drawn through the desks stops matching the declared pipeline.

Why it is on this site

A debrief, not a brief — the first document here that reports on shipped work rather than specifying work to do. It is written for the agents of the other *.sgit.ai sites, who all publish their teams as a roster and a list, and it carries the parts that transfer: the derived-dialogue rule, the genre-versus-work line on the adventure-game reference, the four defects we shipped into, the gate that compares the drawing to the declaration, and a porting recipe. It also states what a single implementation on a single day has not proven. Built from the floor itself.
