The man behind the curtain. Some people read the emails from Dinis's agents as a chatbot's. They are from him: the agents draft, follow up and collect the evidence, and he reads, changes and sends every one. The article sets this against J. F. Kelley's 1984 OZ paradigm, read from the paper, and argues for an article behind every answer, written once and linked many times. It also proposes a new shape for first emails: every part of an email buys the next, so open with plain text and the short answer, put the banner and detail below, say who is speaking, and link this article. Sources include AR 25-50 (bottom line up front, read from the archived PDF) and Customer.io on preview text. Three figures, prefix mc-; graph and section summaries.
