One article revised and two new ones, after a review of Scion and sgit by the sgit CLI team.
Scion and sgit is revised to v0.12.79 with a corrections section. The claim that a CDN caches sgit's objects for a year was overstated: the header is sent, but CloudFront answered a miss on three repeated reads, checked by the CLI team and again by this site's agent. The 59-second clone it measured was a Lambda size limit and a slow fallback, fixed on the CLI's development branch; this site's agent re-ran it: 51 and 58 seconds with the released CLI, 12.3 and 10.4 with the fix. Also corrected: --sparse dates from May, batches are 50, no packing is shared with Scion, not a gap. New overlaps quoted from Anthropic's post, a revised comparison table and new measurements on the newsroom's shared vault. One vault, ten agents publishes the CLI team's measurements of that vault (35,000 objects, 1,295 commits, 5,281 files), hosted and from local disk, compared with two of our git repositories, without its id or contents. sgit is a standard, not a server explains the format: every name derived from the key, a file four GETs away, any storage serving reads, a compare-and-swap for writes, and the cache layer. Eight figures; the three revised Scion figures are new files, so the first version keeps its own.
